College basketball rankings: Colorado State puts its undefeated record on the line vs. San Diego State

There are only three undefeated teams left in Division I men's basketball - Baylor, USC and Colorado State, the last of which will have to pass a big test Saturday to keep that zero in the loss column.

CSU is at San Diego State.

The Rams' 11-0 record features wins over the Saint Mary's team that's beaten Notre Dame, the Mississippi State team that's beaten Arkansas, and the Creighton team that's beaten Villanova, BYU and Marquette. They're good. But Colorado State still only has one Quadrant I victory. That's the bad news. But the good news is that this is a chance to get another one considering it's a road game against a San Diego State team that's ranked 54th in the NET. It won't be easy to get, though, evidence being that the Rams are 3-point underdogs at Viejas Arena, a place where San Diego State hasn't lost in more than a year.

To upset San Diego State, Colorado State will likely need a big performance from David Roddy - a 6-foot-5, 250-pound junior who is averaging 19.7 points, 8.1 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.3 blocks and 1.1 steals in 29.3 minutes per game. He's shooting 57.9% from the field and 42.9% from 3-point range, which is among the reasons the Rams are one of the nation's best offensive teams. They're second in the country in 3-point field goal percentage (42.4), fourth in the country in free throw percentage (80.8), and 13th in the country in 2-point field goal percentage (56.9). So San Diego State's top-10 defense will be tested in ways that it has not been tested so far this season. Tip is scheduled for 4 p.m. ET on AP. Colorado State enters the Mountain West Conference showdown ranked 19th in Saturday morning's updated AP Sports Top 25 And 1 daily college basketball rankings.
