NBA DFS: CJ McCollum and top FanDuel, DraftKings daily Fantasy basketball picks for Jan. 28, 2022

The Boston Celtics' two biggest wins this season have come in each of their last two games, and much of that has to do with the elite play of top scorer Jayson Tatum. Against Washington on Sunday, Tatum scored a season-high 51 points in a 116-87 win, and he followed that up with 36 points in Tuesday's 128-75 thrashing of the Sacramento Kings. Tatum has made 62.7 percent of his shots and 57 percent of his three-point attempts in those two wins, but is he a top option in Friday's NBA DFS player pool as well?

The Celtics visit Atlanta on Friday, and in his only other game against the Hawks, Tatum scored 34 points with nine rebounds, five assists, a steal and a block. Atlanta allowed Sacramento's Harrison Barnes to hit half of his shots and score 28 points in a win over the Kings on Wednesday, so could that be a sign of things to come for Tatum on Friday? Before you finalize your NBA DFS picks, be sure tocheck out the NBA DFS advice, player rankings, stacks and top daily Fantasy basketball picks from SportsTek's Mike McClure.

McClure is a DFS professional with nearly $2 million in career winnings. He's also a predictive data engineer at SportsTek who uses a powerful prediction model that simulates every minute of every game 10,000 times, taking factors like matchups, statistical trends and injuries into account.

This allows him to find the bestNBA DFSvalues and create optimal lineups that he shares only over at SportsTek. They're a must-see for any NBA DFS player.

On Thursday, McClure included Warriors forward Andrew Wiggins as one of his top NBA DFS picks on both DraftKings and FanDuel. The result: The recently-named All-Star starter scored 19 points with five rebounds, four assists and two blocks to finish with the second-most Fantasy points at his position on both DraftKings and FanDuel. Anybody that included him in their lineups was well on the way to a profitable day.

Now, McClure has turned his attention to the Friday, January 28, NBA DFS slate and locked in his top daily Fantasy basketball picks. You can only see them by heading to SportsTek.

One of McClure's top NBA DFS picks for Friday is Trail Blazers guard CJ McCollum, who is listed at $7,300 on DraftKings and $7,700 FanDuel. McCollum is coming off of a 20-point game in a loss to the Mavericks on Wednesday, where he hit 8-of-16 attempts from the field. Since coming back from an extended absence due to a collapsed lung, he's averaged 19.7 points per game and made 44.7 percent of his three-point attempts.

Portland is at Houston tonight, and the Rockets are reeling after a 30-point loss to the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday. Prior to that, Houston narrowly lost to Golden State, 105-103, in which Warriors shooting guard Jordan Poole scored 20 points. McCollum hit just 33 percent of his shots against Houston when the two sides played earlier this season, but still came away with 17 points, eight rebounds and five assists. Considering his recent shooting form, he should be in for a bigger offensive night on Friday.

Another key in McClure's optimal NBA DFS strategy includes rostering Hornets point guard LaMelo Ball ($8,400 on DraftKings and $8,600 on FanDuel). Against the Pacers on Wednesday, Ball had his most efficient offensive night of the season, when he made 11-of-16 shots to score 29 points in a win. He also had 13 assists and 10 rebounds for his fourth triple-double of the season.

Ball began heating up on Tuesday, when he scored 25 points on an 8-of-16 shooting night against Toronto. Charlotte hosts the Lakers on Friday, who Ball had one of his best games against already this season. In a narrow loss at Los Angeles in early November, Ball scored 25 points with 16 rebounds and 11 assists, and following that game, Charlotte ripped off five consecutive victories.

McClure is also targeting a player who could go off for massive numbers on Friday because of a dream matchup. This pick could be the difference between winning your tournaments and cash games or going home with nothing. You can only see who it is here.
