Seahawks' Russell Wilson wants to explore options, consider different destinations this offseason, per report

The Seattle Seahawks are entering a pivotal offseason. After finishing 7-10, and in last place in the NFC West for the first time since they rejoined the division in 2002, Seattle could opt to enter a rebuild. That would likely include parting ways with star quarterback Russell Wilson.
Last offseason, it looked almost likely the eight-time Pro-Bowl passer would be traded to another team. It was reported Wilson wasn't on solid ground with the Seahawks, and his agent evenidentified to ESPNfour different teams he would be comfortable playing for. While nothing came of it in 2021, 2022 could be the year Wilson finds himself on the move.
On Sunday, NFL Media's Ian Rapoport reported that Wilson wants to explore his options this offseason, to see what else is out there. Rapoport says Wilson hasn't demanded a trade -- and it's not clear if he will -- but he wants to "investigate other destinations." What do those destinations need to have to entice Wilson? Rapoport says it would need to be a team that puts him in a better position to win another Super Bowl, and solidify his legacy.
Wilson has two years remaining on his contract as well as a no-trade clause he will have to waive in the event of a deal.NFL Media's Mike Garafolo reported last week that the Seahawks have no plans to trade Wilson this offseason. It remains to be seen if a split would be amicable, or if Wilson will have to fight for what he wants.
As for the teams to keep an eye on, the list his agent reportedly gave out last offseason included the Chicago Bears, Dallas Cowboys, Las Vegas Raiders and New Orleans Saints. While anything can happen, it's likely only two of those teams would jump back in the mix for Wilson, while only one doesn't have a starting quarterback under contract.
