LOOK: Giants offense reaches new low by running quarterback sneak on third-and-9

The New York Giants are in the process of wrapping up a very disappointing 2021 season, and the offense has struggled mightily under rookie quarterback Jake Fromm. In fact, in the second quarter of their Week 18 matchup with the Washington Football Team, Joe Judge's offense decided to play for field position as opposed to attempting to actually move the chains.

Facing a second-and-11 from their own 2-yard line, Fromm sneaked up the middle for a gain of two yards. It was thought New York was trying to give itself some room so it could attempt to convert the ensuing third down, but instead, the Giants again ran a quarterback sneak -- on third-and-9!

After this confusing sequence,Ian O'Connor of The New York Post tweeted he received a voicemail from an NFL scout who worked in the league for more than 30 years, and he was bewildered by the Giants' thought process.

"I've never, ever seen that kind of surrender before in the NFL. That's the worst thing I've ever seen," the scout said, per O'Connor.

Reports have indicated that the Giants are bringing back Judge for 2022, but a QB sneak on third-and-long is a fitting representation of how poorly this offense has performed. The Giants have scored 49 points in the last five games, while two NFL teams scored 50 or more points in a game by themselves just last week. New York has also had the worst scoring offense in the NFL over the last two seasons (16.6 points per game).

Judge went on a tirade last week after another loss, claiming that the Giants aren't "some clown show organization." Well, they had everyone laughing on Sunday.
