Handicapper Bio

MMARecap was founded in 2009 by Brent Todd, aka thebwit.  In that time I was able to bring MMARecap to the forefront of MMA coverage in the Greater Chicagoland Area.  When life happened, the website and company was forced to shut down but I never lost sight of being a fan of the sport.  Since 2014 I have been actively betting on UFC fights, mostly on a whim and doing well.  In June of 2015 I decided to track my betting and quickly realized that a "gut feeling" wasn't the right way to do things.

Over the course of 2015 I tweaked my forumla for predicting the winners of UFC fights.  While a single punch can derail an entire bet, our forumla is proving to be more accurate than not.  Over the course of 2015 I wound up with an ROI of slightly more than 15%.  That includes my early bets of "gut feeling" that you can see in my history of betting.

While other MMA betting sites like to bet big on underdogs, we believe in our forumula to maintain a steady growth of profit.  We are in this for the long haul and not for short term gain.  Yes it is nice when we have a card such as UFC Fight Night 81 where we have an ROI of more than 100%, but that isn't the norm.  We look at each fight strategically and are willing to bet on fighters who will have a small ROI because we want to always be earning.
