Time: 09:00 P.M. EST Venue: EnergySolutions Arena   With star LaMarcus Aldridge among three key but missing pieces, the Portland Trail Blazers haven't made up for the lost offense during their worst skid in nearly two years. Things may not get any better against a team that smothered the healthy version of their lineup last month. The Trail Blazers are likely to be without Aldridge, Nicolas Batum and Chris Kaman on Wednesday night when they try to end a five-game losing streak against the Utah Jazz, who may be missing top scorer Gordon Hayward. Portland scored its fewest points in 14 games in Saturday's 97-86 loss at Memphis after Aldridge sprained his left index finger and Batum departed with a sore back. Neither starting forward played and Kaman also sat with a shoulder strain in Tuesday's 122-108 home loss to Golden State. The Blazers' five-game slide is their longest since a 13-game skid at the end of the 2012-13 season. Aldridge, averaging team highs of 23.5 points and 10.4 rebounds, is dealing with some swelling in his hand and the four-time All-Star isn't expected to play. Portland was already missing guard Wesley Matthews, who ruptured an Achilles on March 5 against Dallas. The Blazers (44-25), who are 3-5 without Aldridge this season, own a four-game lead in the Northwest Division and are fourth in the Western Conference. Portland put up 62 first-half points and hit 15 of 34 from 3-point range Tuesday, but struggled to score throughout most of the final two quarters against the NBA's top team. The Blazers had just 33 second-half points until scoring 13 in the final 3:56. Damian Lillard is trying to pick up the scoring with 56 points in his last two games, while C. J. McCollum contributed a career-high 23 and hit 3 of 5 from long range Tuesday." Obviously, with three of our five starters out to start the season, I was going to have to take more control of what was going on on the floor," Lillard said." I tried to be more aggressive." Lillard had a team-high 19 points in a 92-76 loss at Salt Lake City on Feb. 20 as Utah (31-39) limited Portland to season lows in both points and shooting percentage (36.1). Hayward led the Jazz with 20 points after scoring 27 in a 103-102 loss at Portland on Feb. 3. However, he's doubtful after missing Monday's 106-104 overtime loss to visiting Minnesota due to a sprained shoulder." It's tough because he's definitely a piece of our team that gets us going," guard Trey Burke said after shooting 4 for 22. "He scores the ball at a high pace for us. Defenses are focused on him a lot, so it frees up a lot of other guys." Rudy Gobert had 18 points, 17 rebounds and six blocks, while Joe Ingles scored a season-high 18 and Derrick Favors posted his second straight double-double with 19 points and 12 boards. Burke might be able to bounce back since he's scored 18.0 per game in his past four matchups with the Blazers. After winning nine of 10, Utah has lost three of four to drop 9 1/2 games behind surging Oklahoma City for the West's final playoff spot. The Jazz have also taken a step back defensively, allowing 106 points in each of their last two games after giving up an average of 81.6 over the previous 11. Utah snapped a five-game losing streak in the series with last month's home win.
