Mets ace Jacob deGrom finally makes his long-awaited season debut when he takes the mound for New York (65-37) on Tuesday against the Washington Nationals'(35-69) in Washington, D.C. A two-time NL Cy Young Award winner, deGrom has battled a string of injuries that has kept him from pitching in the majors since July 7, 2021. New York is a -320 favorite in the latest Mets vs. Nationals odds from Caesars Sportsbook while Washington is a +250 underdog.

First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m. ET from Nationals Park. The game is one of 16 on the MLB schedule for Tuesday. Elsewhere in the majors, the Dodgers' Trea Turner tries to extend his hitting streak to 20 games, and the Rockies and Padres play a doubleheader in San Diego.
