How do I post and sell my picks in the directory?

All you need to do is log into your account daily and post your picks for that day. Once you post your first pick, your service will show up under the "View Only Services with Picks Available" section in the directory allowing potential customers to view and purchase your picks. Picks are sold via access passes, meaning that a potential customer can purchase either 1-day, 7-day, 14-day, 30-day, or 60-day access passes to your picks in the directory. You can set and adjust your own access pass prices in your account. Once a customer purchases an access pass from you, he can view all your picks until their access expires.

How do I get paid for any access passes to my picks that I sell in the directory?

Well that's simple! Any picks you sell in the directory go directly to your own PayPal account! You can link up your very own PayPal account to your CapperTek account. Linking up your own PayPal account is required before you are able to post any non-free picks in the directory.

I just sold a access pass to my picks, do I need to do anything?

Nope! Your customers will be redirected from PayPal and given access to your picks automatically. You should receive two emails each time you make a sale. The first email from PayPal with the sale and transaction information. The second email will come from us letting you know that you just made a sale and that your customer has been given access to your picks automatically. In some rare cases, PayPal does not automatically redirect the customer back to your picks page for whatever reason and you do not get that second email from us. In those cases, you will see the customers CapperTek Username in your PayPal transaction receipt and you can give them access to your picks manually in your account.

Can sports picks be deleted or removed from the directory?

Absolutely not! Picks can NEVER be deleted or removed from the directory. Every single pick a sports handicapping service enters into their profile in the directory can never be deleted or removed. Even in case of typo mistakes or errors, the pick can ONLY be voided, meaning that there is still a record of it. 100% transparency is our goal.

Can I have my sports handicapping service website profile or review page removed from the directory?

Unfortunately we do not take requests to remove service websites from the directory at this time. Unlike your personal phone number which is private and can be requested to be removed from a public directory, websites and blogs are public domain and can be listed and linked to and from other websites without permission or prior notice. No service will ever be removed from the directory, if a service is no longer active it will simply be marked as "Not Active" in the directory. Also the phone numbers or email addresses we have listed for services in the directory do not show up in search engine results nor can they be read or captured by web bots.

Our goal is to create the largest public sports handicapping service website directory on the web.

I see that handicappers on the Leaderboard are ranked by most units gained, what exactly are units?

A "unit" in sports betting is a measurement of the size of someone's bet. Because everyone has different sized bankrolls for sports betting, using the term unit is a way for us to show your profit or loss in universal terms.

Someone who is betting $10,000 per bet against the spread in NFL and is up $18,000 on the season isn't nearly as impressive as someone who bets $10 per bet against the spread and is up $180 on the season.

Using units gives us a tool to keep track of profits and losses without the dollar value. Because basic sports betting strategy tells us that you should be betting somewhere between 1-10% of your bankroll on each wager, it is generally accepted that a unit is equal to approximately 1% of your bankroll. Nothing is set on stone with this, but that is an easy way to calculate a single unit.

Using the above formula, someone who has a $1,000 bankroll should be betting $10 per unit, while someone with a $50,000 bankroll would be betting $500 per unit. Using the bankroll management strategy that recommends 1-10% of your bankroll on each bet you would essentially want to bet between 0.1-11 "units". All sports handicappers in the directory will release their picks ranging between 0.1-11 units risked. The 1-5 unit picks are more of the average pick, while the 6-11 unit picks are the big moves where the handicapper feels they have found a lot of value on a certain play.

If a handicapper makes a 5 unit pick and you had a $1,000 sports betting bankroll you would be risking 5% (5 units) or $50 on the pick.

When a handicapper is +25 units over the last 30-days, what does that mean? This would be a measurement of his success over the last 30-day period. Referring to being +25 units means he is "plus" 25x whatever 1 unit is to him. This could be +$25 for someone, while it could be +$25,000 for another.

How can a handicapper with a 25-32 record be +15 units? It is possible to have a sub .500 record but still be up units if you are betting on underdog or "plus money" selections. For example, picking only NFL underdogs on the money line could lead to a negative record but profits on the season. A handicapper can also be up units with a sub .500 record using unit management.

By default, we rank sports handicapping services by most units gained on our Leaderboard.

I see I can choose to rank handicappers on the Leaderboard by highest ROI, what is ROI?

The Return on Investment or ROI measures the percentage return on a particular investment. ROI is used to measure profitability for a given amount of time.

In sports handicapping, the ROI throws away units risked, gained, or lost and shows a services profitability. This is another great way to judge a sports handicapping services performance.

The ROI formula shown below:

ROI =
Units Gained - Units Risked
Units Risked

We give you the option to rank sports handicapping services by their ROI on our Leaderboard.

Why do some handicappers units, ROI percentage, or records change overnight without any activity?

By default, only the last 30-days of a sports handicapping services picks history is displayed when your go to their service picks page or see them on the Leaderboard. So, what they did 31 days ago would come off their last 30-days picks history overnight changing their record or unit totals that are displayed on their page.

For example, if a service gained 20 units 31 days ago, overnight their last 30-days picks history would drop by 20 units. If they were down 20 units 31 days ago, overnight their last 30-days picks history would actually go up by 20 units because that 20 unit loss 15 days ago would not show up anymore by default. As always, you can get a services full picks history by simply adjusting the filter for last amount of days to go back.

We are aware that this can get a little confusing and might even make it seem like something fishy is going on, that is why we try to explain it here. Rest assured that all picks, ROI, records, and units are 100% legit and accurate.

How do I know how much actual money I should risk on each pick I get from a handicapper?

Each pick made from a handicapper in the directory has a unit risk value ranging from 0.1-11 units. Units have been explain above, however we have made it even easier for you in your account. You can set your own bankroll amount in your account settings and each pick you get from a handicapper will have a risk amount dollar value customized specifically for you using the handicappers unit risk amount and your bankroll amount.
