Iowa star Caitlin Clark is continuing to take the college basketball world by storm. On Thursday, the sophomore guard became the first Division I men's or women's player in history to record back-to-back triple-doubles while scoring 30 or more points in both games.
In addition, Clark also became the first player in Big Ten women's basketball history to have consecutive triple-doubles.
She scored 35 points on 14-of-21 shooting while also securing 13 rebounds and dishing out 11 assists in a 105-49 win over Minnesota. She also tied a career-high in rebounds and scored or assisted on 60 of Iowa's points.
Clark's 35 points were tied for the fourth-most in Division I women's basketball history for a player that recorded a triple-double. LSU's Cornelia Gayden scored 43 points in a 1995 triple-double, while Long Beach State's Cindy Brown and Alabama's Daisha Simmons each had 37 in their respective triple-double performances.
Clark's total tied Rider's Stella Johnson, who also scored 35 points in a 2018 triple-double.
In Sunday's 93-83 win over Nebraska, Clark scored 31 points while grabbing 10 rebounds and registering 10 assists. With these back-to-back triple-doubles, she now has five triple-doubles over the course of her collegiate career -- and four of them have come this season.
