BETHLEHEM, Pa. (AP) - Tyler Whitney-Sidney scored 27 points and Lehigh held off American University 70-68 on Saturday night.

Whitney-Sidney was 8 of 13 shooting, including 1 for 3 from 3-point range, and went 10 for 10 from the line for the Mountain Hawks (5-12, 2-4 Patriot League). Bube Momah added 14 points while shooting 4 of 9 from the field and 6 for 8 from the line, and they also had five rebounds. Burke Chebuhar had seven points and was 2 of 5 shooting (1 for 3 from 3-point range).

Matt Rogers finished with 21 points and 10 rebounds for the Eagles (10-9, 4-2). Elijah Stephens added 16 points, five assists and two steals for American. Lorenzo Donadio also had 13 points and two steals.

Lehigh went into the half ahead of American 36-30. Whitney-Sidney scored 12 points in the half. Whitney-Sidney's 15-point second half helped Lehigh pull out the victory.
