Remember how in pretty much every Rocky movie, there are always those fight sequences where the Italian Stallion is getting beat down? Whether by Apollo Creed, Clubber Lang, Ivan Drago, or Tommy Gunn, it’s the same script—Rocky is taking lefts to the body, lefts to the face, overhand rights that cause his knees to buckle, and crushing haymakers that send him tumbling to the mat for the official count. But then, when all hope seems lost, a minor chord is struck—Bommm!—and the hero struggles to his feet. Bruised and bloodied with blurred vision, he shakes off the cobwebs and manages to land one punch, then another. Suddenly the crowd begins to cheer and the theme song begins to play... You know the rest. This is precisely what happened between me and Anthropic Claude over the first four weeks of the NFL season. He was kicking my ass like Hulk Hogan’s “Thunderlips” in Rocky III until I shook back and lit him up with a flurry of jabs and hooks that culminated in last night’s New York Giants drubbing of the Philadelphia Eagles. But there’s still 12 more rounds to go. And just because Claude is currently glitching on the canvas doesn’t mean I’m underestimating him. He’s a worthy opponent. Maybe he’ll regain momentum this Sunday. But I doubt it. Love my picks this week. Cell Door Locks on deck.
