Disgraceful. Not just the Miami Dolphins performance last night with the season on the line, but also my picks over the last 7 days. Unacceptable. Dolphins owner Steve Ross seems to agree because our long time GM Chris Grier was just sent packing. No word yet on HC Mike McDaniel as I write this. But I’ve wasted enough time and ink and unrequited love on the Dolphins this year. No more posts about my irrelevant football team for the remainder of the season. (Come on Belichick! Or maybe Lane Kiffin?) We are now officially at the halfway point. Contenders have mostly separated themselves from pretenders. This week’s lines reflect that. And for remainder of the regular season, I will be laser focused on finishing strong. (Unlike the team that I won’t mention again but who had FIVE trips inside the Ravens 3-yard line last night and could only muster two field goals. Six points!) But what really burns my biscuits is that my arch nemesis, ClaudeGPT, was able to pull even with me this week. Just as I was starting to create some distance from his artificially intelligent ass. I’m expecting a 5-0 Sunday for the first time this season and a major bounceback. Here’s why:

  1. The Rams are off a bye, playing at home against a team with a rookie QB starting his first game (no pressure, right?) and they get all-world WR Puka Nacua back. Blowout alert.

  2. Patrick Surtain Jr will be unavailable for the Broncos as they travel to Houston to face a team that gets star WR Nico Collins back. I like the Texans to defend their house in this spot.

  3. The Pats are rolling with Drake Maye at the helm, and their defense continues to get more suffocating as the year goes on. The Falcons are still seeking an identity.

  4. The Chargers are playing the Titans. No further explanation required.

  5. It’s the regular season and the Bills are underdogs to the Chiefs at home. If it was the playoffs, I’d lean toward Andy Reid and Mahomes. But it’s only November. Bills do struggle stopping the run but this is offest by the Pacheco injury. Should be tight. Should be a shootout. But I’ll take the home team here.

So to recap:

Rams -14 vs. NO
Hou -1.5 vs. Den
NE -5.5 vs. Atl
LAC -10 @ Ten
Buff +1 vs. KC
