The Steelers/Falcons matchup may actually be a game of chicken daring one team’s pass defense to stop the other’s passing game. On paper, this contest presents the greatest potential for an all-out air battle as two of league's most potent receiving corps are pitted against two of the worst pass defense in the leagues so far this season. Robert Alford and Desmond Trufant both rank around the middle of the pack in yards allowed per coverage snap this season and they are set to face up against Antonio Brown, who is far from a middle-of-the-pack wide receiver.

Joe Haden has drawn new life into Pittsburgh, as he ranks 14th in coverage snaps per reception allowed among cornerbacks. His stingy defense will certainly be needed against Julio Jones and/or Calvin Ridley this week. although, he will have little help up front as the Steelers’ pass-rush unit ranks 23rd in pass-rush grade this season and will likely have to get creative with some stunts and blitzes if they want to apply some heat to Matty Ice. And as he proved time and again: Matt Ryan with time is very dangerous.

Here’s the betting skinny and the betting edge this week: The Steelers are 6-1-1 straight up versus the Falcons and 3-0-1 at home against the Falcons.  The Falcons are 3-8-1 ATS on the road since September 10, 2017. The Falcons are 2-8-1 O/U on the road since September 10, 2017.
