Noll scores 23 as Stony Brook takes down Northeastern 75-65 in CAA Tournament

WASHINGTON (AP) - Dean Noll scored 23 points to lead Stony Brook to a 75-65 win over Northeastern on Saturday night in the Coastal Athletic Association Tournament.

No. 7 seed Stony Brook (18-14) will face No. 2 seed Drexel in a quarterfinal on Sunday.

Noll also had seven rebounds for the Seawolves. Tyler Stephenson-Moore added 21 points and five rebounds. Aaron Clarke had 19 points and shot 5 of 13 from the field, including 3 for 7 from 3-point range, and went 6 for 7 from the line.

Masai Troutman led the 10th-seeded Huskies (12-20) in scoring, finishing with 16 points and six rebounds. Collin Metcalf added 14 points and nine rebounds for Northeastern. Jared Turner finished with 13 points, seven rebounds and three steals.

Stony Brook took the lead with 1:24 to go in the first half and led 35-29 at halftime, with Noll racking up 14 points. Stephenson-Moore scored 13 points in the second half.
