HOUSTON (AP) - Cal Raleigh hit a tiebreaking solo home run in the ninth to give the Seattle Mariners a 5-4 win over the Houston Astros on Sunday.
Raleigh sent an 0-2 pitch from Josh Hader (1-3) into the Crawford Boxes in left field with one out in the ninth. Luis Urias tied it at four in the eighth on an RBI single.
Andres Munoz (2-2) pitched the final 1 1/3 innings for the win.
Jon Singleton launched a two-run homer to right to give Houston a 4-3 lead in the seventh. Kyle Tucker cut the lead to 3-2 with a two-run homer to right in the sixth.
Luke Raley hit a solo home run into the second deck in right field to lead off the sixth, and the Mariners got two in the second on an Urias bases loaded walk and Josh Rojas RBI single. Rojas finished with three hits.
Seattle starter Bryce Miller allowed four runs on six hits with three strikeouts in six innings.
Houston starter Hunter Brown gave up two runs on five hits with four walks and five strikeouts in 4 1/3 innings.

PITTSBURGH (AP) - Oneil Cruz hit a two-run homer to highlight a four-run sixth inning, powering Pittsburgh past Colorado for a series win.

Cruz sent a slider from Ryan Feltner (1-3) 429 feet to right-center, bouncing his fifth of the season off the roof of a bar beyond the stands to put Pittsburgh ahead 4-3. He also had a double for his first game with multiple extra-base hits in 35 games this season.
Rowdy Tellez then hit a double to right before scoring on a single from Jack Suwinski. Feltner, who gave up five runs on eight hits in 5 2/3 innings, began the inning by allowing a single to Connor Joe and a double to Bryan Reynolds in the first four pitches. Joe scored on a grounder from Ke'Bryan Hayes.
The Pirates took the final two of the three-game set, their first series victory since winning two of three against Baltimore from April 5-7. The Rockies, who have lost seven of eight, have yet to win a series.
Luis Ortiz (2-1) was perfect in 1 2/3 innings after replacing Pittsburgh starter Bailey Falter with one out in the sixth. David Bednar picked up his sixth save, allowing a two-out double from Sean Bouchard before striking out Jake Cave in the ninth.
GUARDIANS 4, ANGELS 1
CLEVELAND (AP) - Jose Ramirez broke an 0-for-19 skid and finished a 10-pitch at-bat with a two-run home run and Josh Naylor also hit a two-run shot to lift Cleveland to a victory over Los Angeles.
Ramirez, a five-time All-Star had been hitless in six consecutive games before connecting on a full-count fastball from Griffin Canning (1-4) in the sixth inning to wipe out a 1-0 deficit. Andres Gimenez singled and Ramirez followed with his sixth home run of the season into the stands in right-center.
Naylor added insurance with his team-leading eighth homer with two outs in the eighth inning off Matt Moore. Naylor's shot came after Ramirez drew a two-out walk.
Carlos Carrasco (2-2) allowed one run and six hits over six innings. He had given up 13 runs and five home runs over nine innings in his previous two starts.
Emmanuel Clase pitched a perfect ninth inning for his 10th save in 12 chances.
Canning (1-4) pitched a season-high six innings, giving up just two runs while striking out five and walking one.
WHITE SOX 5, CARDINALS 1
ST. LOUIS (AP) - Eloy Jimenez homered and Garrett Crochet tossed six effective innings to help Chicago to a win over St. Louis.
Chicago had lost 14 of its first 16 road games this season, Paul DeJong added a run-scoring double for the White Sox, who won their first road series of the season. DeJong spent seven seasons in St. Louis from 2017-2023.
Willson Contreras homered for St. Louis, which has lost four of five.
Jimenez hit his fourth of the season off reliever Giovanny Gallegos (2-1) to snap a 1-1 tie leading off the seventh inning. The drive kick-started a four-run outburst.
Crochet (2-4) allowed one run on three hits. He had given up 16 earned runs in 16 2/3 innings over his previous four starts. He struck out six and did not walk a batter.
CUBS 5, BREWERS 0
CHICAGO (AP) - Javier Assad pitched six sparkling innings, and Chicago beat Freddy Peralta and Milwaukee in the rubber game of their weekend set.
Assad (3-0) allowed four hits, struck out four and walked three, lowering his ERA to 1.66. The right-hander has permitted two or fewer runs in each of his seven starts this season.
Chicago posted two straight wins against Milwaukee after losing 3-1 on Friday. The starting pitchers for the Cubs combined for 18 1/3 scoreless innings in the series, allowing a total of nine hits.
Peralta (3-1) matched his career high with six walks in five innings. He allowed three hits and struck out five on a sunny, cool day at Wrigley Field.
It was the right-hander's first start since he was suspended five games for his role in a brawl with the Rays on Tuesday. He is appealing the punishment by Major League Baseball.
The Cubs grabbed control with three runs in Peralta's final inning. Nico Hoerner hit a two-run double, advanced on a groundout and scored on a two-out wild pitch.
RED SOX 9, TWINS 2
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Ceddanne Rafaela hit the first Boston home run in seven games, Rafael Devers added another as they ended Minnesota's 12-game winning streak.
Vaughn Grissom and Dominic Smith had two-run doubles, and Boston ended a three-game slide in which it scored just four runs.
Ryan Jeffers homered and Trevor Larnach had an RBI single for Minnesota.
The Twins 12-game winning streak was tied for the second-longest in team history behind a 15-win run in June 1991, the last season Minnesota won the World Series.
With one out in the fifth, Rafaela hit a full count offering from Joe Ryan into the first row of the left center field seats for a two-run home run and a 3-1 lead. Rafaela hit the team's previous round-tripper in last Saturday's 17-0 win over the Cubs.
Grissom had a two-run double for a 5-1 eighth-inning lead. Smith, the next batter, added a two-run double with the ball going off the glove of Manuel Margot who was battling the sun on a cloudless 69-degree afternoon.
Devers hit a two-run shot in the ninth.
RAYS 7, METS 6, 10 INNINGS
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) - Randy Arozarena hit a tying homer off Edwin Diaz with two outs in the ninth inning, Jonny DeLuca lined a two-run triple in the 10th and Tampa Bay beat New York for a three-game sweep.
Automatic runner Jose Caballero stole third as Jake Diekman (1-1) walked Ben Rortvedt leading off the 10th. Both runners scored when DeLuca's line drive got past a diving Harrison Bader in center field.
New York took a 6-5 lead in the top of the 10th when Bader scored on an error by first baseman Yandy Diaz, who was unable to make a clean catch on a low throw after Brandon Nimmo's grounder was deflected by reliever Erasmo Ramirez (1-0).
A slumping Arozarena pulled the Rays even at 5 with a two-out solo homer to left field on a full-count pitch from Edwin Diaz, who had converted 26 consecutive save chances dating to 2022 - the longest active streak in the majors.
Arozarena, a 2023 All-Star, is hitting .143. He struck out three times in his first four at-bats.
New York has lost eight straight games at Tropicana Field.
YANKEES 5, TIGERS 2, 8 INNINGS
NEW YORK (AP) - Juan Soto hit a three-run double that snapped a seventh-inning tie and New York beat Detroit in a rain-shortened game to finish a weekend sweep.
The game was called following a 56-minute delay in the middle of the eighth after the teams played through a steady drizzle much of the day.
Completing a 17-day stretch without a break in the schedule, the Yankees improved to a season-high 10 games over .500.
New York loaded the bases against reliever Shelby Miller (3-4) in the seventh before Soto lined Andrew Chafin's sinker down the right-field line to break a 2-all tie.
The Yankees loaded the bases again but were unable to capitalize in a half-inning that took more than 30 minutes. Soto has 28 RBIs, most on the team.
NATIONALS 11, BLUE JAYS 8
WASHINGTON (AP) - Eddie Rosario's two-run homer in the seventh inning broke an 8-8 tie and Washington beat Toronto Blue.
After Jesse Winker doubled against Genesis Cabrera (1-1) leading off, Erik Swanson came on and got two outs, but Rosario homered to right center to make it 10-8.
The start of the game was delayed 85 minutes by rain in the forecast and it featured five lead changes.
Luis Garcia, Jr. had four hits including a home run and drove in four runs, and Winker added a three-run homer for Washington, which took two of three from Toronto.
Hunter Harvey (2-1) pitched 1 1/3 innings for the win and Kyle Finnegan worked the ninth for his 11th save.
Vladimir Guerrero, Jr. hit his fifth career grand slam for the Blue Jays, who have lost four of five. Isiah Kiner-Falefa had two hits and drove in three runs.
DODGERS 5, BRAVES 1
LOS ANGELES (AP) - Shohei Ohtani went 4 for 4 with two home runs, and Los Angeles beat Atlanta to sweep the three-game series.
Ohtani launched a hanging curveball from Braves started Max Fried 412 feet over the center field fence for a two-run homer in the first inning. He added a pair of singles in the third and the sixth before leading off the eighth inning with a 464-foot blast off reliever A.J. Minter deep into the left center field bleachers.
It was Ohtani's first multihomer game with the Dodgers and the 17th of his career. His four hits also tied a career high. He is now tied for the major league lead with 10 home runs this season.
Teoscar Hernandez added a two-run homer and James Paxton took a shutout into the seventh inning for the Dodgers. Paxton (4-0) finished with 6 2/3 innings pitched, five hits and one run allowed, two walks and three strikeouts to remain unbeaten on the season.
Marcell Ozuna homered for the Braves, who have lost five of their last six. Fried (2-1) pitched seven innings, allowed four hits and four runs, walked three and struck out seven.
RANGERS 3, ROYALS 2, 10 INNINGS
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - Jonah Heim hit a tying solo home run in the ninth inning and Nathaniel Lowe had a go-ahead RBI single in the 10th, leading Texas to a victory over Kansas City.
With one out in the 10th, Corey Seager singled off James McArthur (1-1) to put runners on first and third. Lowe followed with his third RBI of the series to score Leody Tavares.
David Robertson pitched a scoreless 10th that included an intentional walk to Bobby Witt Jr. with two outs to seal the win for the Rangers with his first save of the season.
Kirby Yates (3-0) earned the win by tossing two scoreless innings of relief.
Heim tied it at 2 in the ninth off McArthur when his shot struck the right-field foul pole for a home run. The homer snapped a season-high four-game drought for the Rangers.
It was the third straight series win for the Rangers overall and the sixth in a row against the Royals since 2021.
ORIOLES 11, REDS 1
CINCINNATI (AP) - Dean Kremer pitched six shutout innings, Anthony Santander hit his third career grand slam and Baltimore completed a three-game series sweep of Cincinnati.
Jordan Westburg hit a two-run homer and Ryan McKenna added a solo shot for the Orioles, who have won four straight games and six of their last seven.
Kremer (3-2) retired the first 13 batters he faced until Christian Encarnacion-Strand singled with one out in the fifth. The Reds managed only one hit and a walk in Kremer's six innings. He struck out six.
Orioles starting pitchers were dominant in the three-game series. Cole Irvin pitched six shutout innings on Friday and John Means blanked the Reds through seven Saturday.
Meanwhile, the Reds' offense continues to sputter. They have scored just two runs in their last 36 innings played in Great American Ball Park. The Reds are batting a major-league worst .209 as a team.
MARLINS 12, ATHLETICS 3
OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) - Nick Gordon had four hits, including his first home run in three weeks, and Miami beat Oakland to end their six-game winning streak Sunday.
Josh Bell had a pair of RBI singles and Jonah Bride drove in two runs as the Marlins won for the third time in 12 games and avoided a series sweep.
Miami got 14 hits and had eight players with at least one RBI, a stark difference from a day earlier when the Marlins' bats were mostly muffled in a 20-4 loss to the A's.
Brent Rooker, who homered twice in one inning during the blowout victory Saturday, had two hits and scored twice for Oakland.
The game attracted a crowd of 12,212, the largest at the Coliseum since opening day.
Gordon was in a 1-for-21 funk before his two-run homer off starter Joe Boyle. That capped a four-run inning that began when Boyle walked the bases loaded on 14 pitches.
Boyle (2-5) sustained a lower back injury and was removed after the first.
DIAMONDBACKS 11, PADRES 4
PHOENIX (AP) - Ketel Marte and Joc Pederson homered to back Ryne Nelson's return to the mound and Arizona snapped a three-game losing streak defeating San Diego.
The Diamondbacks roughed up Padres starter Matt Waldron (1-4), who gave up eight runs (seven earned) and eight hits in three innings.
Marte's two-run homer and Corbin Carroll's two-run single came in a four-run first inning.
San Diego, which had its four-game winning streak end, came back with three in the second on Jackson Merrill's two-run homer and Kyle Higashioka's RBI double against Nelson (2-2), who was activated from the injured list to make the start.
But Arizona answered with two more runs in its half of the inning on RBI hits from Jake McCarthy and Christian Walker.
Pederson's homer, a two-run shot to right, came off Jhonny Brito, who relieved Waldron in the fourth when Arizona had another four-run inning.
