HONOLULU (AP) - Steve Settle III scored 16 points and Hysier Miller made two free throws with five seconds left to rally Temple to a 55-54 victory over Portland on Sunday in the seventh-place game of the Diamond Head Classic.
Settle hit two 3-pointers and added six rebounds for the Owls (7-6). Jordan Riley totaled 14 points, 12 rebounds and four steals. Sam Hofman had 10 points and six rebounds.
Juan Sebastian Gorosito and Tyler Robertson both scored 16 to pace the Pilots (6-9). Gorosito added six rebounds and six assists before fouling out. Robertson missed a 3-pointer on the final shot of the game. Freshman Tyler Harris pitched in with 14 points and seven rebounds.
