HOUSTON (AP) - Kalen Williams scored 35 points as Texas A&M-Commerce beat Houston Christian 98-85 on Saturday night.

Williams also had six assists for the Lions (11-18, 5-11 Southland Conference). Tommie Lewis scored 23 points, going 8 of 15 from the floor, including 2 for 8 from 3-point range, and 5 for 6 from the line. Alonzo Dodd had 11 points.

Bonke Maring led the way for the Huskies (6-21, 4-12) with 23 points, seven rebounds and two steals. Jay Alvarez added 21 points and six rebounds for Houston Christian. In addition, Michael Imariagbe had 11 points and 11 rebounds.
