Welcome to Slivkas Picks! I’m Steven Slivka, a 26-year-old sports handicapper living in Las Vegas.
I spent my childhood growing up in Vegas and graduated from UNLV with a B.A. in Journalism and Media Studies in 2013. I currently work in public relations, though I’ve never lost my desire to write and handicap.
I’ve spent the last five years as a freelance sports writer and handicapper. My expertise lies with the NFL, MLB and especially the NHL where I’ve enjoyed a 63% success rate this season.
My work has been featured on Bleacher Report, Yahoo! Sports and SB Nation. You can also find my picks at Cappers Picks and CapperTek. Though I can’t guarantee winners, I can guarantee quality picks that come with through research and analysis.
